Biography & Bridge Project Updates

Bridge Project
Students have been busy working with their team of contractors to run a simulated architectural firm. Their task is to build a bridge out of toothpicks. Their bridge will be tested for strength, cost, design and aesthetics. Students are required to work collaboratively with a team, follow contest rules, and perform their assigned tasks. We'll be sure to share photos once our bridges are built.

Biographies

The students have been working hard and doing an excellent job with their biography projects. They've really gotten to know their famous figures (I have too) and have seemed to enjoy working on this project. Please make sure you check in with your child to see how it's going. I encourage you to ask them to share some things that they've learned about their person. The more they talk about what they know, the more comfortable they'll be come presentation time. There have been a couple of questions regarding costumes. Students will come dressed in their costumes the day of the presentation. Please let me know if you have any specific questions pertaining to costumes or the project itself.

Upcoming Events/Activities:
Tuesday June 5th- Field Day
Monday June 4th- Olympics Assembly (students are encouraged to wear their red, white and blue)
Friday June 15th- Biography Presentations (8:45-10:00 a.m. in the Gym)
