It’s been a great start to our 5th grade year! Thank you for turning in the required forms and sending your kids to me each day with all of their materials. I’ve loved getting to know their personalities and watching them create new friendships! Also, thanks to all those who were able to make it to Curriculum Night.
Fall Conferences:
Please take a look at the fall conference schedule and sign up if you have not done so. If you are unable to make the conference, please contact me and we can find another time to meet. Fall Conference Schedule
ELA Update: Students will be taking the GRADE reading assessment on Monday & Wednesday. Students have been working on building reading stamina and reflecting on themselves as readers. Students have been enjoying our read aloud, Out of My Mind, by Sharon Draper.
Word Study groups will begin meeting on Tuesday and instructions will be sent home in student Word Study notebooks. On Friday, we will be doing a fun activity and discussing how sculptors are like writers. Wait until you see our creations!
